Introduction

Hi!  My name is Chelsea Denham, and I am a third year graduate student in the School Psychology department.  I am currently working full time doing my third year internship at Mason County Schools in my hometown of Maysville, Kentucky.  I am one of two school psychologists in the district, and we share the responsibility of completing special education evaluations at four schools, across all grade levels.  I also am working with the middle school counselors on starting and leading girls social skills intervention groups for grade 6, 7, and 8.  I graduated from Mason County High School in 2007, and went on to attend Georgetown College for four years, where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Child Development.  In December I received my Masters of Science in Education from UK, and with the completion of this class, and my internship in May, I will graduate with a Specialist degree in Education.  I plan to continue working as a school psychologist, maybe in Kentucky, but maybe not, and hope to also have children of my own one day.

I enjoy reading anything I can get my hands on, riding horses, playing with my dogs, Chloe and Stonewall (there are pictures below!), hanging out with my friends and boyfriend, and all things Disney.  I know this will be weird, but I love high school sports, especially football.  This summer, I moved home with my parents, which I am very excited about (no rent, no utilities, no groceries!), helped send my little sister off to Mississippi to teach 10th grade Writing for Teach for America, attended several weddings, met a penguin named Blueberry, and babysat quite a bit. Currently, I am babysitting a 5 month-old baby boy, but I have been babysitting for family and friends since I was 9.  I am very excited to begin this class and get to know all of you :)

Stonewall, the laziest bird dog on the planet.
Chloe, also lazy.
And, my boyfriend and me with our friend Blueberry.
